==== Disable the loacal backup using a file manager ====
The location of the WhatsApp data directory is\\
<code bash>[INTERNAL MEMORY]:/Android/media/com.whatsapp/WhatsApp</code>

If WhatApp already created a backup, there will be a folder\\
<code bash>[INTERNAL MEMORY]:/Android/media/com.whatsapp/WhatsApp/Databases</code>
If the folder exists, delete it.

Create a new folder and then create an archive (.zip) of that folder. Then delete the folder and rename the zip file to <code bash>Databases</code>

This will disable the ability of WhatsApp to save backups.\\

==== Disable the cloud backup in the WhatsApp application ====

Tap on the three dots on the right top corner and select "Settings", then "Chats", then "Chat backup" and finally "Back up to Google Drive".\\
In the menu select "Never".
