The location of the WhatsApp data directory is

[INTERNAL MEMORY]:/Android/media/com.whatsapp/WhatsApp

If WhatApp already created a backup, there will be a folder

[INTERNAL MEMORY]:/Android/media/com.whatsapp/WhatsApp/Databases

If the folder exists, delete it.

Create a new folder and then create an archive (.zip) of that folder. Then delete the folder and rename the zip file to

Databases

This will disable the ability of WhatsApp to save backups.

Tap on the three dots on the right top corner and select “Settings”, then “Chats”, then “Chat backup” and finally “Back up to Google Drive”.
In the menu select “Never”.
